Vallankumoukselliset terveiset työväenluokalle Suomessa vappupäivänä 2024 

Hyvät toverit, ystävät ja kollegat,

Tänä kansainvälisenä työväenpäivänä 2024 välitän lämpimät ja vallankumoukselliset terveiset Suomen työväelle Sri Lankan kansan vapautusrintaman (JVP) puolesta. 

Tuotanto ja työ ovat omaksuneet globaalin luonteen, joka yhdistää alueelliset ja kansalliset rajoitukset, ja superriisto on yltänyt maiden rajojen ulkopuolelle. Ihmiset viettävät tänään kärsimyksen päivää kaikkialla maailmassa. Työntekijöiltä viedään oikeudet ja hyvinvointi, jotka he ovat saavuttaneet lukuisten uhrausten seurauksena. Useimmat maailman hallitukset, mukaan lukien Sri Lanka, yrittävät jatkuvasti määrätä työvoimauudistuksia, jotka rajoittavat hyvinvointia ja lisäävät riisto-oloja. Tiedämme, että myös työväen toverit Suomessa kamppailevat hyvinvoinnin ja oikeuksien rajoituksia sekä ammattiliittojen toimintaa rajoittavia lakeja vastaan. Työväenluokka osallistuu aina enemmän tuotantoprosessiin kuin mitä he saavat vastineeksi. Riippumatta siitä, kuinka paljon he työskentelevät useimmissa skenaarioissa, he tuskin onnistuvat tulemaan toimeen. Sillä välin työnantajat yrittävät kehittää menetelmiä työssäkäyvien hyväksikäyttöön todellisen työajan ulkopuolella. 

Mitä tulee naisiin, yhteiskunnan tilanne on huonompi. Naiset joutuvat eriarvoisuuden, syrjinnän ja sosiaalisten esteiden kohteeksi. Häntä myös käytetään hyväksi työpaikoilla ja kotitalouksissa. Lisäksi monissa maissa naisten elämä on epävarmassa tilassa, koska he joutuvat perheväkivallan ja seksuaalisen väkivallan kohteeksi, jotka ovat myös jatkuvan kriisin seurauksia. 

Myös imperialistien jatkuva tarve jakaa uudelleen maailmaa, erityisesti maailmanmarkkinoita ja geostrategisia kohtia - heidän agendansa mukaan - on synnyttänyt sotia, joilla ei ole loppua. Tällä hetkellä havaitsemme, että koko Euroopan, Välimeren ja Lähi-idän alueet ovat kohdanneet kahden meneillään olevan julman sodan uhan, jotka ovat horjuttaneet kaikkia olemassa olevia tasapainoja maailmassa ja työntäen maailman kohti uuden maailmansodan partaalla. Suurin kärsimys vaikuttaa suoraan työläisiin. He ovat niitä, jotka maksavat hinnan joskus jopa hengellään. Siitä huolimatta imperialistiset vallat käyttävät sotaa tilaisuutena napata yhä useampia maita tukemaan sotilaallisia käsiään, kuten Natoa. 

Hyvät toverit,

Tiedämme hyvin, että tasa-arvoisen yhteiskunnan rakentaminen voidaan aloittaa vain, jos järjestäytyneellä työväenluokalla on valta käynnistää haluamamme järjestelmämuutos. Tätä tarkoitusta varten meidän on lähestyttävä yhä useampia työväenluokan ihmisiä tarkoituksenaan antaa heille poliittinen tietoisuus ja organisoituminen. Sri Lankassa me JVP:nä työskentelemme tarmokkaasti lähestyäksemme yhä useampia edistyksellisten ihmisten päitä ja sydämiä. Siten pyrimme kokoamaan yhä enemmän ammattilaisia, älymystöjä ja edistyneitä liikkeemme, National People's Power (kansallinen kansanvalta) - NPP:n ympärille, joka on JVP:n aloite luoda joukkoliike, joka lisää kykyä puhutella yhä enemmän työväenluokkaisia ihmisiä. Meillä on ilo todeta, että kasvatamme liikettä päivä päivältä ja saavutamme tavoitteemme työväenluokan etuja edustavan järjestäytyneen liikkeen hallinnassa. 

Vielä kerran tänä kansainvälisenä työväenpäivänä vuonna 2024 Sri Lankan kansan vapautusrintama JVP ja kaikki sen jäsenjärjestöt toivotamme voimia ja rohkeutta Suomen työväenliikkeelle marssia sosialismin tiellä sekä ideologisesti että organisaatiovoimalla.

Revolutionary Greetings towards the working class in Finland on May Day 2024

Dear comrades, friends and colleges,

On this International Workers’ Day 2024 I convey warm and revolutionary greetings to the working people of Finland on behalf of the of the People’s Liberation Front (JVP) of Sri Lanka.

Production and labor has embraced a global character merging territorial and national limitations and super exploitation has reached beyond the limits of countries. People are suffering day today in all corners of the world. Also the workers are being deprived from the rights and welfare they have won as a results of numerous sacrifices. Most governments in the world including Sri Lanka keep on trying to impose labour reforms curtailing welfare as well as increasing exploitative conditions. Currently we are aware that the fellow comrades of the working class in Finland are also struggling against the welfare and rights curtailments and against the laws restricting workers’ rights to take trade union actions. Working class always contributing more to the process of production than what they get in return. No matter how much they work in most scenarios they barely manage to make ends meet. In the meantime the employers try to devise methods to exploit working people beyond actual working hours.

When it comes to the women in the society situation is worse. Women are being subjected to inequalities, discriminations and social barriers. Also she is being exploited in the work places and within the households as well. Further, in many countries lives of women are in an insecure state being subject to domestic violence and sexual assault which are also the consequences of the ongoing crisis.

Also the continuous necessity of the imperialists to divide and re-divide world, especially world markets and geostrategic points, according to their agendas have given birth to wars with no ending sight. We currently observe that whole European - Mediterranean - Middle East regions have faced the threats of two ongoing brutal wars which have upset any existing balances within the world pushing world towards a brink of another world war. No matter what, the greatest suffering impact directly on the working people. They are the ones who pay the price sometimes even with their lives. Regardless, imperialist powers use the war as opportunity to grab more and more countries to sponsor their military hands such as NATO.

Dear comrades,

We very well aware that building equal society can be commenced only if the organized working class has the power to initiate the system change we desire. With that intention we must approach more and more people in the working class with the intention to give them political consciousness and to organize. In Sri Lanka we as the People’s Liberation Front - JVP, are vigorously working to approach more and more heads and hearts of progressive people. Thereby we are manging to gather more and more professionals, intellectuals and progressives around our movement, the National People’s Power - NPP, which is an initiative of the JVP to create a mass movement to increase the capability of attracting more and more people in the working class. It is our pleasure to say that we are growing the movement day by day and reaching our aims for the governance of an organized movement representing the best interests of the working class.

Once again on this International Workers Day, 2024 we as the People’s Liberation Front of Sri Lanka along with all its affiliated organizations wish strength and courage to the workers’ movement of Finland to march in the path of Socialism with both ideological and organization strength.
